V-Day date (closed to Tidus) - TTU

Yuna had planned everything down to the last detail. That night she and Tidus were going to have a night to themselves. First it was dinner, then they could come back to her apartment since she had no roommate and watch a movie and talk or go back to the lake or something of the sort.

Yuna was so excited. Her dress swished and flowed as she leaned over the sink to apply the last bit of her makeup. She was wearing a long, flowy royal blue dress that went down to her ankles, low-cut, no sleeves. She wore her usual earring on the right side and had the sides of her hair pinned up with white butterfly clips. She hoped Tidus would be here soon. She really wanted to see him.

"Why am I always late?" Tidus asked himself as he rushed back to his room to get dressed. I can't believe he made us stay after so long...

He almost bolted out the door once he was dressed, wearing the standard nice suit and a tie. Bowties looked quite dorky on him, so he had always worn normal ones.

He sent Yuna a text message saying "Sorry I'm late. Be there soon," and started walking...running...the two blocks to his girlfriend's apartment.

Yuna was in the middle of fixing her hair, she always had a few stray bits that liked to come out if she didn't put it up just right, when she got the text from Tidus. She chuckled a little, not at all upset she'd expected it somehow. Sending him a text that said "Not to worry," she went back to adjusting her hair.

She really wanted to bring him inside as he had yet to actually see it and she had a gift for him. It was a sliver blitzball made out of professional-grade material. She hoped he would like it.

Tidus got the reply and smiled a little. No matter how often he was late, she never cared.

He slowed down a bit, now that he could afford to.

He rang the doorbell upon his arrival. He'd only ever seen the outside of this apartment before, and was anxious to see how Yuna had dressed tonight.

No matter what, he knew it would be beautiful.

Yuna was prompt in answering the doorbell. Taking a step back as she opened the door, she smiled at Tidus, running through the things she needed to grab before she left. Purse, keys, money... She had it all with her.

"Would you like to come in, or shall we be off?"

"I was thinking maybe you'd finally let me see the inside."

Of course, he didn't pay attention to what he said, and didn't realize he had a good chance of getting slapped.

Yuna rolled her eyes, grinning. "You could have seen it anytime, silly. There just wasn't any need."

Standing back, she let him in and closed the door. The place wasn't very big, but it worked well for a student's needs. There was a small living room connected to a dining room/ kitchen. Up the sairs situated between the rooms, there was her room, a guest room, and a shared bathroom between them. Yuna really liked it and she'd spent a lot of time redecorating it to be very calming, lots of blues and silvers.

Compared to Tidus's place, this one was actually pretty large. His had only one bedroom, and the kitchen was just barely separated from the living room.

"Wow, I didn't think it would be so big..." Tidus still needed to be smacked for saying stupid shit, but at least he was sincerely being naive. "I'm already pretty late, though...let's make sure our reservations don't get lost."

Luckily for Tidus, Yuna chose to ignore the implications of his statement. She knew he was just being young and naive. Looking around her apartment once more, she turned and shooed Tidus out the door so she could lock it.

"Oh you're not that late," she told him, teasingly. "But if you would feel better, we can go now and I'll show you things afterwards."

"Yeah, that's sounds good. Let's go!" He yanked Yuna toward the elevator enthusiastically.
