Yuna had decided she wanted to make a coffee run to help her study that day. She hadn't gotten any sleep at all the night before since her floormates had been up half the night screaming about something or other. So, bleary-eyed and half awake, Yuna made her way to the coffeehop just off campus.

What woke her up that morning wasn't the coffee. In fact, she never got her coffee. What woke her up was the explosion on the other side of campus. Something in her mind snapped and she tore off in the direction of the noise. Deftly weaving her way through people, she used her long legs to basically dig a trail through the throngs of people gaping in the direction she was heading. At one point, she was sure she saw someone fly past her in the opposite direction, but she gave no heed. Her mind was on whatever had been blown up. If she could get there before too many people arrived, she could shield their eyes from whatever it was-

She nearly fell over herself when she came upon the scene of the explosion and realized who was lying on the ground. Her heart stopped for a split second as she saw the ambulance park and EMTs run up to the boy, strapping him down to a stretcher and getting him into the ambulance.

"Oh God... TIDUS!!" she screamed, her throat and eyes burning as she tore up to the EMTs. "Please, you have to let me go with him! I'm his girlfriend! I have to know what happened! I can make sure he can't see anything! Please, let me go with him!"

They weren't entirely happy about it, but when they realized she would be more help than hindrance, and that she wouldn't let them rest if they didn't, they reluctantly let her in. "He passed out a moment ago," one of them told her. "It looks bad."

Tears streamed down Yuna's cheeks as she lovingly stroked her boyfriend's hair. "Tidus," she murmured, sitting on a stool near his head. "Can you hear me?"

Oh God, please let him be okay.

Squeezing her hand in return, Zidane gave her a soft look, his eyes saying everything. Ya, he had missed hanging out with her a lot but he knew that Tidus came first, that Tidus was the one she wanted to be with. And that was okay with him. He would always be here friend no matter what and that meant being there for her.
No matter what.

Hearing Rikku speak in Al Bhed again, he peered at her curiously, tail twitching again.
"What'd she say?" he murmured to Yuna, sticking his tongue out at Rikku just to lighten the mood some.

Yuna snapped out of her stupor at Rikku's Al Bhed words. "Huh?" She stared up at her cousin before her cheeks turned red and she burst out in nervous laughter. "Hu, hu! Ed'c hud mega dryd! Ra'c zicd y kuut vneaht uv seha."

She looked back at Zidane and was reminded of how few people actually spoke Al Bhed around here. She blinked at him and then blushed crimson. "She... wanted to know if we wanted to be left alone." Her cheeks burned and she lowered her head. Rikku couldn't possibly know about what had happened when Yuna first arrived back in Town, but the memory stung all the same and she sighed.

"Mmmhmmm, whatever you say Yunie!" she teased and winked. All in good fun right? Her eyes flickered to Zidane. But she couldn't blame Yuna if she really did like Zidane. The guy had that witty charm that her cousin seemed to like.

"Anyhow....Yuna, have you eaten or drank anything since you get here?" Hands on her hips now, Rikku eyed her cousin, giving her a mock stern look. "You better answer yes to that!"

The delivery boy blushed brightly as well, rubbing the back of his head with his freehand and coughing a bit.
Rikku certainly had a way with words it seemed...Though, not that he'd protest to a moment alone with Yuna but that wouldn't be right and...

He blinked, turning his gaze from Rikku to Yuna, his own eyes turning questioning now.
"I agree. You better answer yes."

Yuna was glad the mood seemed to be lifting and that Zidane wasn't holding anything over her head at the moment, though she wouldn't blame him if he did.

She got the distinct feeling the mood was going to die though the second Rikku mentioned food. Yuna hung her head and tried to sink into the couch with a whispered, "Not since I got here, no." She hoped they wouldn't murder her for forgetting to take care of herself as she usually did when someone was hurt.

"Yunie! Fryd fana oui drehgehk??? Oui haat du ayd ouihk myto! Ymm drec funnoehk yht cdnacc yht hud aydehk??? FNUHK! Vuut, nekrd huf! Mad'c ku! Drana'c kud du pa y bmyla du kad vuut cusafrana eh drec cdanema bmyla!" Rikku announced and grabbed Yuna's hand, tugging her up.

Zidane just sat there, looking beyond confused yet again. It seemed as though whenever he was in Rikku's presence, he got that feeling. Assuming that she was rambling on about getting Yuna something to eat, he hopped to his feet, his tail starting to lash about a bit.

Yuna popped up, her eyes wide as she looked from Zidane to Rikku. "Cousin... could you perhaps not speak Al Bhed too much? I don't think it's quite fair to Zidane."

Glancing back at Zidane, she smiled apologetically. "I'll teach you Al Bhed, if you'd like," she offered.

"Oy oy ugyo!" she mused, waving her hand a bit and then, with said hand, grabbed one of Zidane's. "Off to get Yunie some food!!"

"I would like that a lot my lad.....cousins?" he said suddenly, blinking a few times. Well he definatly had not seen that coming.
