hospital run - rp entry ((open to anyone going to the hospital with Tidus)) - TTU
Yuna had decided she wanted to make a coffee run to help her study that day. She hadn't gotten any sleep at all the night before since her floormates had been up half the night screaming about something or other. So, bleary-eyed and half awake, Yuna made her way to the coffeehop just off campus.
What woke her up that morning wasn't the coffee. In fact, she never got her coffee. What woke her up was the explosion on the other side of campus. Something in her mind snapped and she tore off in the direction of the noise. Deftly weaving her way through people, she used her long legs to basically dig a trail through the throngs of people gaping in the direction she was heading. At one point, she was sure she saw someone fly past her in the opposite direction, but she gave no heed. Her mind was on whatever had been blown up. If she could get there before too many people arrived, she could shield their eyes from whatever it was-
She nearly fell over herself when she came upon the scene of the explosion and realized who was lying on the ground. Her heart stopped for a split second as she saw the ambulance park and EMTs run up to the boy, strapping him down to a stretcher and getting him into the ambulance.
"Oh God... TIDUS!!" she screamed, her throat and eyes burning as she tore up to the EMTs. "Please, you have to let me go with him! I'm his girlfriend! I have to know what happened! I can make sure he can't see anything! Please, let me go with him!"
They weren't entirely happy about it, but when they realized she would be more help than hindrance, and that she wouldn't let them rest if they didn't, they reluctantly let her in. "He passed out a moment ago," one of them told her. "It looks bad."
Tears streamed down Yuna's cheeks as she lovingly stroked her boyfriend's hair. "Tidus," she murmured, sitting on a stool near his head. "Can you hear me?"
Oh God, please let him be okay.

She needed support. She needed someone to be there with her. And she knew just the person. Digging her cell phone out of her purse, she dialed her cousin's number. Getting voice mail, she left a simple message.
"Rikku, I'm at the hospital, in the ICU waiting room. I need you here if you can get here."
no subject
"Zidane? It's Rikku. Meet me at the hospital! Something is up with Yunie and I think it may have to do with Tidus too!" Not waiting for a response from the blond on the other end, she hung up, shoving her phone in her jacket pocket.
The Al Bhed teen's pace increased as she darted along the street, asking directions here and there before winding up in the front lobby.
Hard part over with.
Now she had to find Yuna.
Walking to the nurse's station, Rikku put on her best smile and asked about Yuna and Tidus. There was a bit of questioning on the nurse's part but she finally managed to get a room number and headed off to the ICU waiting room. Gazing around, she caught sight of her cousin and rushed over, kneeling down in front of the brunette.
"Oh Yunie! What happened??? The nurse's wouldn't tell me much! Are you okay, is Tidus okay???"
no subject
"OI! Marcus! I'm leaving! Gotta go to the hospital! I promise I'll finish the deliveries later BYE!" he called and darted out of the Tantalus Delivery Service, breaking into a run as he took a few backstreets towards the hospital.
Being the sweet talker that he was, the blond got the nurse's to give him Tidus' location rather easily and decided to take the stairs, able to move much faster that way.
Zidane was in the waiting room in a matter of minutes from the moment he left the lobby, panting a bit.
"Rikku? Yuna?" he murmured, walking towards the two.

"I don't know, Rikku," she sobbed into the younger girl's shoulder. "I heard the explosion and got there... just before the amublance left... I don't know what happened... or why he's hurt... or any of that! I'm so... afraid!"
no subject
Explosion? Tidus was in an explosion? That was really strange.
"The doctor's won't tell you anything?"
no subject
Setting his bag down, Zidane moved closer to the two girls, tail slumping behind him a bit.
He and Tidus may not be the best of friends, and ya, he was still insanely jealous that Yuna had chosen the blitzball player over himself, but he cared about Yuna enough to know that Tidus being hurt was tearing her apart.
"If you want I can go and see what I can find out. Maybe I can get something out of them."
no subject
"Who... how did you know?" She blinked a few times before shaking her head and moving to hug Zidane. "Thanks for coming. It means a lot to me." She pulled back and gave him a weak smile. "If you would like, my lord, that would be most helpful." Her eyes were a mix between thankful and worried. "Though... just having you two here for me is more than enough."
no subject
Yunie really has found herself some good friends...
"Why don't we wait a bit longer, let things cool down and then ask! Maybe then the doctor's won't be such tight wads about it all." she said making a face as she made the comment about the doctor's.

Hearing Rikku speak up, he nodded to her statement, tail twitching a bit.
"That would probably be our best bet. They may even come speak to us." His eyes flickered to Yuna, softening again. "Does that sound alright to you my lady?"
no subject
Her eyes flickered to Zidane and she couldn't help but wonder how he was holding up. she hadn't been a very good friend to him and yet here he was, helping her through one of the most difficult moments of her life. Reaching over, she took one of Zidane's hands and squeezed it, both in thanks and friendship.

No matter what.
Hearing Rikku speak in Al Bhed again, he peered at her curiously, tail twitching again.
"What'd she say?" he murmured to Yuna, sticking his tongue out at Rikku just to lighten the mood some.

She didn't want to go interrupting things or anything like that! That would just be rude after all!
"Let's see let's see, ah! Cafeteria this way!" she said happily and tugged Yuna and Zidane down one of the hallways.

The blond theater lover couldn't help but yelp as he was suddenly tugged down the hallway by Rikku, stumbling a bit as he tried not to fall over.
"Maybe someone else should drive eh?"

Turning back to her phone, she frowned a little. Yazoo didn't sound too good. "I'm at the hospital with a few friends," she answered carefully. "Why? Do you need me, Yazoo?"

"Uh huh, and thats why you ran into me the other day and I had to help you find your class. So THAT'S how good navigation skills work!"
no subject
"Yazoo? What are talking about? Do you know what happened to Tidus!?" Her voice grew hysterical.
